Reflection

Just for any case I’ll post a small reflection on this blog as well. The main reflection is in our journal and this is more like a summary.

Project

Project almost done and it makes me both happy and sad. It was one of the most interesting and enjoyable projects in this two years of studying. During this project I had everything form huge frustrations to great excitement. I really enjoy to do stuff with my hands, and we had to build a big pretty thing – what can be better? Also, I had a freedom to do what I wanted so it motivated me a lot to work on this project and be productive during almost whole quarter. It general I have a good impression  about this project and would love to have more projects like this. 

Team

If you read my learning goals reflection you already know about our communication problems, I don’t think that there is a point to repeat it here again.

In general it would be better if we collaborated more. The separation on 3 teams didn’t let to fully coherent end results. Despite that we managed to make everything on time and have a quite nice product. As we are builders we were working more with technical team, in order to be able to integrate all the technical parts into the body at the end. We tried to give them some relaxing assignments like painting when they were tired of their screens, and also we tried to help them with some basic coding or soldering when we had some spare time.  So I can say that we worked together at the beginning and at the end as well, even tho we had some misunderstandings during the whole project it didn’t destroy our mood, motivation or productivity.

Myself

During this project I had most fun and I believe that I did a good job within my chosen role. Also I was really motivated this quarter and productive. I improved a lot on decision making and problem solving, because of the responsibility being on the building team. I very grateful to my fellow builder, who was supporting me in the frustration moments, what helped me a lot, when I didn’t know what to do. Also, I did a good progress with a blog, it was mostly consistent what never happened before.

In conclusion the project is a great experience. With a team communication and collaboration we have to improve a lot, but we still had a lot of fun together, especially at the last weeks when we were staying at school for longer. And myself there a lot of thing on which i still should improve, but i already made quite a big step forward.
