The capacitive sensor was something new for me that I had never worked before with. First thing I had to find out, was how to mount it to the breadboard. The setting for ours I was unable to retrieve because it was ordered from China for its lower price. I used the settings for the capacitive sensor from Sparkfun as it seemed the same and it worked just perfect.

  • 3.3V → 3.3V
  • SCL → A5
  • SDA → A4
  • GND → GND
  • IRQ → D2

In order to test it I wrote a sketch with a simple square shape that would change the color with the fill() function depending on which wire of the capacitive sensor is being touched. I am not sure, if Andro was the one to solder the wires onto it or he received it this way from Harry but we had wires set up in port 1,2,4,6,8 and 10. Each one I gave a unique color and the program seemed to work out for most and pointed towards an error in the others. Apparently the soldering was not the best and we had to resolder it again. After that we gave it a run again and everything ran smoothly.
